It *is* kind of handy, but I sit on a NetBSD box, so I've just gotten used to it.

Perhaps you can make a port like:
  /usr/ports/games/wtf/ (or /misc/ or something) and perhaps if the powers that be decide that it's stable and useful and solid code then maybe a discussion will take place to ponder the commencement of thinking about putting it in $BASE
