Current state of JDK 1.4 in ports

Hello,

Can anyone out there (developers specifically) comment on the current state of the JDK 1.4 in OpenBSD?
Particularly, does anyone see it being implemented fully by 3.4? Will it be native or Linux emulation? I'm also interested in knowing whether or not FreeBSD's acquisition of Sun's "blessing" to have a native JDK for FreeBSD will change the landscape as far as the currently necessary emulation goes.

I ask because of an Intranet project in a company that I work for. The fact that the project is using the JDK is out of my control; whether the final product will be deployed on OpenBSD is my choice, however. Needless to say, I'd love to be able to say that obsd could do it.

Much appreciated
