CoNEXT seeks to foster open discussions on technology alternatives and to be a forum accommodating multiple viewpoints. It is committed to a fair and thorough review process that will provide authors of submitted papers with sound and detailed feedback.

CoNEXT 2007 solicits papers that help better understand today's networks and how their performance and functionality can be improved, as well papers proposing new approaches and systems on how to design and operate the next generation of networks. Additionally, papers reporting on the deployment and performance of services or exploring network functionality aimed at better supporting new services are also welcome. Relevant topics for the conference include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Internet measurements and modelling
  • Economic aspects of the Internet
  • Implementation and experimental evaluation of network protocols/applications
  • Network security and deep packet inspection
  • Networked games, multimedia applications
  • Routing and traffic engineering
  • Peer-to-peer and overlay networks
  • Wireless and mobile networks
  • Ad hoc and sensors networks
  • Delay and disruption tolerant networks
  • New networking protocols, architectures, and addressing schemes

Submitted papers must be original, unpublished, and not have been submitted to another conference or journal for publication. Papers must be submitted in electronic format following the instructions provided on the CoNEXT web site and must be no more than 12 pages in the ACM SIGCOMM format (strictly enforced). Proceedings will be published by ACM, appear in ACM's digital library and the best papers will be forwarded to the IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking for possible fast-track publication.
