O**perational DBA*

*Immediate opportunity for a talented Operational Data Warehouse DBA to join a team of software professionals on supporting a massive scale parallel database. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for the overall health, maintenance, and performance of one of the world’s largest databases (hundreds of terabytes to multi-petabyte systems), including 24x7 remote support.*

• *8+ years IT industry experience and 3+ years DBA experience supporting production DWH databases.*
• *Expert knowledge in one or more of the SQL flavors and relational database design concepts.*
• *Experienced in supporting OLAP / BI-DW workloads in a multi-Terabyte environment.*
• *Experience with large scale, massively parallel, shared nothing database architectures (Teradata/Netezza/ Greenplum etc.). PostgreSQL background – a plus.*
• *Understands data warehouse concepts, practices, methodologies, and architectural approaches.*
• *Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly; document issues from production problems, propose solutions and implement them.*
• *Knowledge of Linux & Solaris 10 operating systems and scripting language. Scripting skills in Perl/ Python/ MapReduce – a plus.*
• *Knowledge of DW Design (MPP architecture) is a plus.*
• *On-call support for production systems.*
• *Ability to work effectively in a team environment and able to think strategically as well as execute effectively with a high level of attention to detail.*
• *Good verbal and written communication skills.*
• *Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Computer Science/Information Systems Engineering.*
