Same idea?

yum erase mysql-server
yum install mysql-server
service mysqld start

Some of that log seems to indicate a corrupt 'mysql' DB - not sure on that. I think the relevant DB is in /var/lib/mysql - a "rpm -ql mysql-server" will let you know for sure...
