RE: enterprise backup system recommendations

Just curious, what kind of insurance reasons? Generally with an enterprise system like TSM, copies are made of tapes so there is at least one onsite copy and one offsite copy. Nightly runs can be ejected so that the offsite copy is easily identified & for off site storage.

we have just upgraded from dlt to lto3 and we are impressed with the speeds. We cant use tape libraries as we need to have the tapes taken offsite every day for insurance reasons :)
