We currently do not use any TAPs, but are looking into this now ourselves. How have your current TAPs worked out for you? Is a TAP any better than cutting a pair of wires from the Ethernet cable? What advantage do you see in using a TAP?

Has anyone used gigabit TAPs in their network?  I currently use Finisar
ehternet TAPs, but are looking for cost, model, etc for gig E TAPs.
