You're out of luck I believe with Outlook 2000 but with 2002 (Office XP) you can turn of HTML rendering for non-signed email: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;en-us;307594& > recently Microsoft pronounced that future Outlook clients
You can turn off the downloading of external content and/or turn off rendering of HTML entirely in the next version of Outlook. It provides a way in the message viewer to switch back to the HTML format from plain text and to download the external content as well if you trust the source.
