If this is a stand alone machine, Local security policy will allow you to get really granular with access rights. If in a Active Directory domain, group policy will allow the same thing

Subject: Customising user rights on win2k Pro

Local user is allocated only "Users" Right on the win2k Pro workstation.

"User" rights disable a user from changing IP address or defragmentation

tasks which generally required "Administrator" rights.

Is there ways to fine tune these Rights allocation so without giving

higher acess rught than "Users".

Do you need help?X

Any help will de deeply apprteciated.

Regards.
