Hi,

I am using ISA for caching/proxy only, and you do not have to use the firewall portion. You are correct in saying to configure user authentication on the outgoing tab, however.

You must use Firewall Client and You can enforce to user athenticate on properties from sever, in outgoing tab.

  I'm more on the networking side, and was curious if anyone knew how to alter logging on MS ISA Server to show NetBIOS usernames versus local IP Address in the ISA logs. I has NetBIOS usernames on a Proxy Server before, but this is my first exposure to ISA..! Any advice or links would be appreciated.
