I don't know about "cheap" (remember you get what you pay for) - but an excellent solution is Altiris Deployment Server (www.altiris.com). They license based on how many workstations you plan to manage.. so depending on the number of stations and your budget you might be able to fit it in. I believe they offer a 30-day trial license, but I'm not sure how many stations it will allow you to manage . There is also the argument of the amount of labor it will save if you need to make a pitch to purchasing people. It makes handling disk imaging and software deployment a snap, and includes remote control features to power on/power off machines and even connect to them with a VNC like program. It can be set up to use multicasting which will allow you to image or deploy to a large number of machines with minimal network impact. There are tons and tons of other features, but you can read about those yourself on their website. For example, I was able to make a "Rapid Install" (be sure to read about Rapid Install while you're there..) package of the latest two Windows updates yesterday and had it deployed to 70 XP machines... a project that took less than 30 minutes start to finish - and would have taken only marginally longer if I had twice or even three times as many machines to work with. -Anthony On Thursday, April 10, 2003, at 08:35 PM, snaqi wrote: > Hi,
