I would *strongly* suggest that you defer to the experts in the field. As it is, you are making many assumptions about how to test and even if your samples are "live".

This is hashed over repeatedly amongst AV professionals, and the only true tests are those done by laboratories with proven "live" samples under controlled conditions. If you really want to know how antivir, sophos, mcafee etc. do in tests, go to:

Don't write your book without doing this, or you will be roundly criticized.
