Of course, it would be most helpful if Microsoft were to actually work

This does, of course, have connections to viruses, both in that viruses
propagating via email are a form of unsolicited bulk email, and in that
an increasing proportion of viruses/worms appear to be designed by spammers
to open up proxies (and/or relays) for their usage - usually on Microsoft
systems...
