I'm not familiar with cleaning that particular virus, but I have had very good experiences with InoculateIT 6.0 and eTrust 7 (the current version) I'm vague on your defined context for "network". Are these files on Windows, Linux, or Netware server? Are you using the server version to scan these files, or are you doing this from a client machine? Are you aware that InoculateIT 6.0 and eTrust 7.0 are configurable regarding actions taken when specific types of infections are detected?

Dear all,

Apparently Inoculate 6.0 is having great issues to handle PINFI virus. It is
a tricky virus that not easily detectable by Inoculate which server/workstation on my network are trying to infect the rest.

In addition to this, the moment Inoculate suspect the files on the network been infected, it just deletes the file thinking that it is a Trojan.

Is this known issue to any of you who use Inoculate? What is your view about
Inoculate as compares to others? I wish someone can shed some lights on this
because I am at the stage of reviewing the products. So far, we have no antivirus product for Exchange Sever, SQL, SMTP gateway either. Very dangerous.

Thanks in advanced.

Do you need help?X
