RE: Computer Forensics

There is an effort underway by the Information Systems Forensics Association to establish a Common Body of Knowledge for Computer Forensics that represents best practices for our field, and developing a certification to accompany that CBK.

http://www.infoforensics.org/

There are a few chapters around the world either established or being formed as we speak. If you are interested in forming a chapter or participating in developing the CBK, use the contact form on the website: ( http://www.infoforensics.org/contact/contact.asp ) and your question will be directed to the correct person.

We are actually discussing internally on coordinating the build-up of an Open Source forensic procedures manual.
We believe the community would greatly benefit from it and it would help to raise both current "Best Practices" and interoperability across different countries.

What does the list think about it?
