> Hello,

I guess you're thinking about pid_guid. This is supposed to have been removed in versions of Office beginning with 2000 and up.

Warren G. Kruse II and Jay G. Heiser have some good info on it in their book "Computer Forensics - Incident Response Essentials" (ISBN 0-201-70719-5). It will also be covered in a paper I'm writing on Windows investigation basics. Getting the book will probably be faster than waiting for me to finish though ;)

Best Wishes,
Tom Erik Engeskaug
