This is a GREAT idea...

I'm not sure that 'weekly' is appropriate, but a FAQ like that would be *VERY* valuable... and as you say:

Indeed: you probably know better than almost anyone the misconceptions, blindspots, oversights, etc. of us all...

I don't think it'll have much value being posted a lot, I think --- I'm on lists where "how to unsubscribe" *IS* posted weekly, and _still_ folk post "Please unsubscribe me" to the list. And so posting it in the hope that someone who NEEDS that information will trip over it in the 'weekly posting' is probably too much to hope for [not to mention that most of US probably don't want to see it once a week].

I think that posting the FAQ once in a while, not for *information* but for _discussion_, would make sense: we could bat around things that appear to be omitted, things that need extra explanation, etc.

Do you need help?X

As for "information", probably just returning the FAQ, rather than the pointers, etc, you currently do for rejects, will get the information to the people who most need it in the most effective way without it being a repeitive bother for the list-as-a-whole.

Having it available via the website would be handy, too, so nonsubscribers  could be referred to it.
