Oh, I wasn't proposing to remove the libnet-config for libnet-1.0. That can stay. I was just proposing removing it from the source tree for libnet-1.1.

The two versions do need to be installed at the same time, yes. Shame the author of libnet didn't plan ahead a little better, and define a versioning scheme for the include files and libraries (he seems to have one for the config script, which is "libnet-1.0 has a config script, and libnet-1.1 doesn't").

I maintain a small embedded linux distribution, and am trying to solve this right now for my own needs. Looks like it's a can of worms. - Dan
