It's all handled internally by libnet. You don't have to worry about how it works, just that it does work. Take a look at sample/arp.c.

Subject: V 1.1.x changes to libnet_arp_hdr

Dear gurus,

I have some elderly libnet code written for libnet.0.99 or thereabouts. I'm trying to get this code working with libnet 1.1.x . I see from the libnet_headers.h file that the ar_spa and ar_tpa fields have gone from the libnet_arp_hdr, to be replaced by a comment saying 'address information allocated dynamically'.

Where does this information now reside and how can I get access to it?

I can't find anything about this in doc/MIGRATION and I'm somewhat short of a clue as to what I need to do instead of just tweaking the fields in the libnet_arp_hdr. I'd be grateful if someone would point me in the direction of the appropriate documentation.

Regards,

Do you need help?X

Pete
