i suppose the actual format is raw format ;) bit by bit... yes maybe it's boring but if i ask my father he can help me... he was used to program in machine language bit by bit, using his teeth to make the holes :P how lucky we are that few years later the assembly was born :P however, i can't help... i don't know how to specify options bit by bit... it's a hard thing! it's fine the interface is what it is... but maybe it could help to have some u_char* function(same_char*, array_of_options_and_values)s that provide easy option contruction, even if less flexible... cheers
