Libnet NT error code 7b problem

Hi,

I recently downloaded libnetNT from here ...> http://www.packetfactory.net/libnet/dist/deprecated/ First I guess I should ask .. is this the most recent libnet for windows NT ? - (I am using XP professional) and I couldn't find any other copy to download.

I have winpcap v3.0 installed - I have downloaded Windump and tested that winpcap works with the windump -d command. It gives this ...

Which is actually the MAC address and details for my ethernet card with is used for internet connnection sharing with another PC. For net access I use a cable modem connected through USB. And when I use windump to listen to it - it works.

Now the problem is I want to write some apps that make use of libnetNT. So after successfully compiling and linking the source file for tcpspoof included in the libnetNT zip. When I run it I get this message ! ...

C:\Work\DoS\LibnetNT\Test\Debug>tcpspoof Unable to open the driver, Error Code : 7b Open adapter failed

The program then terminates with a illegal reference to memory location 0x00000000 - The problem comes from line 22 - (I think)

libnet_win32_init(1);

Does anyone know how this can be resolved ?? I really need some help - its for my University dissertation and I have tried everything I can think of. Please let me know if you can help !
