Injection to WLAN? Libradiate? Driver version?

Hi all,

I'm trying to capture from and inject to a Prism2 WLAN card (D-Link DWL-650). while I'm able to capture using libpcap, libnet doesn't seem to be able to open the wlan0. I'm using SuSE Linux 8.2 with the 0.0.3 hostap driver in monitor_mode.

I found the Libradiate library, but it seems it doesn't work together with the current version of the hostap driver (2003-05-18, 0.0.3). Instead it includes an old version (2002-02-24). With the current driver, it doesn't seem to be able to write any packets (connection refused). I also found in the source code of the wlansniff tool (of the driver) that the old and new drivers use a different way to open the socket (old version: socket(AF_NETLINK,SOCK_RAW,NETLINK_USERSOCK), new version: socket(PF_INET,SOCK_DGRAM,0). Is there a way to run libradiate with the current driver? Do I need to replace the new by an old driver?

Actually I'm a bit confused that libradiate is already quite old and there isn't much current messages on the list about it - particularly considering the fact it was written by Mike Schiffman, the author of libnet. Was the libradiate project stopped/given up? Is there another library that should be used instead of it in conjunction with the Prism2 cards?

Thanks in advance,

                         Andreas
