That's all garbage. Don't bother with it. We're almost ready to release official 1.1.1 with MUCH improved win32 support. It even comes precompiled if you want and has an installer.

Subject: problems compiling Libnet-1.1.1-RC-005 for win32

hi,

I have been trying hard to build Libnet-1.1.1-RC-005 under windows 2000 without much luck:

I am using cygwin with mingw support (i have modified the path so that mingw executables come before cygwin ones).

I had to overcome first several problems in order to compile the sample programs and create the libnet library.

1- in the configure file, when checking for PacketSetMode, the compiler directive -fnative-struct was causing the compilation to abort. I removed it to be able to continue.
2- in the compilation of libnet_raw.c line 66 I got an error: one variable
undeclared . i changed line 66 to declare one a boolean: BOOL one = TRUE;
3- in file libnet_resolve.c I got some undefined symbols inet_ntop and inet_pton. I just conditionally compile the lines referring to those functions.
4- When I try to compile any of the sample programs using the optarg variable, I get an error message :undefined reference to `_imp__optarg'. I have not been able to resolve this problem.

Do you need help?X

I can manage to compile any sample program not using the optarg variable.for example dot1x. but when I try to run it I get an error message in libnet_init : libnet_init() failed: Unable to open the driver, Error Code : 2

I would appreciate very much if someone can provide any help as to how to compile this package under windows ( general guidelines or even a pointer to some help). As It stands I am pretty much stuck.

Thanks
