first off DONT LOG IN VIA SSH AS ROOT OR configure they sshd to allow it, just simply use a user account to log in and then su cmd into root. by doing this you greatly decrease the vulnerablity of your machine.

  • Has anyone solved the problem of how to slogin as a user, su to root and still allow an X tunnel to work? I mean a method that Joe Application Support can understand and use easily.
