Hello World!
From: Dr. Poo <drpoo(at)houston.rr.com>
Date: Mon Nov 11 2002 - 18:00:32 EST
Now, it seems from the manual that this should be all i need to do to avert having to type my password to log in, but i am apparently doing something wrong because i still have too...
Here's the debug:
debug1: Found key in /home/drpoo/.ssh/known_hosts2:1 debug1: bits set: 1574/3191 debug1: ssh_rsa_verify: signature correct debug1: kex_derive_keys debug1: newkeys: mode 1 debug1: SSH2_MSG_NEWKEYS sent debug1: waiting for SSH2_MSG_NEWKEYS debug1: newkeys: mode 0 debug1: SSH2_MSG_NEWKEYS received debug1: done: ssh_kex2. debug1: send SSH2_MSG_SERVICE_REQUEST debug1: service_accept: ssh-userauth debug1: got SSH2_MSG_SERVICE_ACCEPT debug1: authentications that can continue: publickey,password,keyboard-interactive debug3: start over, passed a different list publickey,password,keyboard-interactive debug3: preferred publickey,password,keyboard-interactive debug3: authmethod_lookup publickey debug3: remaining preferred: password,keyboard-interactive debug3: authmethod_is_enabled publickey debug1: next auth method to try is publickey debug1: try privkey: /home/drpoo/.ssh/identity debug3: no such identity: /home/drpoo/.ssh/identity debug1: try privkey: /home/drpoo/.ssh/id_rsa **** debug1: read PEM private key done: type RSA **** debug3: sign_and_send_pubkey **** debug2: ssh_rsa_sign: done **** debug2: we sent a publickey packet, wait for reply **** debug1: authentications that can continue:publickey,password,keyboard-interactive debug1: try privkey: /home/drpoo/.ssh/id_dsa debug3: no such identity: /home/drpoo/.ssh/id_dsa debug2: we did not send a packet, disable method debug3: authmethod_lookup password debug3: remaining preferred: keyboard-interactive debug3: authmethod_is_enabled password debug1: next auth method to try is passworddrpoo@216.12.218.209's password:
... and as you can see from the last line, it ultimately asks for me to enter
my password. If i'm looking at the debug correctly, it did find the private
rsa key and the public key... and it says "debug2: we sent a publickey
packet, wait for reply"
Any suggestions?? Might this be a sshd config problem? Should i include more information for anyone to help me or point to a good reference? Thanks in advance. -Chris Received on Mon Nov 11 18:04:02 2002 This archive was generated by hypermail 2.1.8 : Wed Aug 23 2006 - 14:02:51 EDT |
