2GB File Size Limit in OpenSSH_2.5.2p2?

SecureShell Gurus-

I am unable to scp files over 2GB in size from a Solaris system running OpenSSH_3.1p1 to a Solaris system running OpenSSH_2.5.2p2 but I can scp a >2GB file to another OpenSSH_3.1p1 system.

This tends to suggest that OpenSSH_2.5.2p2 has a 2GB file size limit? I searched the SecureShell archives and never found a definitive answer other than a post asking this same question with no answer. Can someone shed some light on this issue?

Thanks,
