Porblem getting OpenSSH to auto-authenticate on a NIS+ system

Hello,
I am unable to get openssh version 3.4p1 to auto-authenticate on a Solaris 8 box running NIS+. If I try to auto-authenticate from a box not having NIS+, I am able to connect to that box, but not the other way around. I am asked for the password. If I try to auto-authenticate between two NIS+ boxes, I am unable to auto-authenticate. Each time I am asked for the password. Each system shares the home directory. I have created an authorized_keys files and placed the public key from both of the servers. Also, I have the private keys both under the same directory appropriately named for each server. Also, on the non-NIS+ system I brought over the public key from the NIS+ system and added it to the authorized_keys file.

I have tried to create a local account on each of the NIS+ systems and use that directory, but that did not work either.

I would appreciate it if somebody could help me.

Thanks in advance.
