Tunnelling Squid Proxy

From: Tim Evans <tkevans(at)tkevans.com>

I have a remote (outside-the-U.S.) user for whom X-forwarding is unacceptable due to slow links. Some sites are not directly accessible from his location. Is it possible to tunnel Web proxy services (squid, or some such) so he can use his local browser to go via the proxy, appearing to be coming from the inside proxy server?

Thanks.
