command prompt supression

Hi All,

      I am using ssh for TCP port forwarding with "-L" option.
      For the duration of the connection, I am getting a
      prompt of the remote machine. ( and the documentation
      says it need to be )       Is there any way to
      supress the ssh prompt of the remote m/c on the local one??
