Hello,

I am trying to build OpenSSh-3.5p1 on my OSX box:

[Dix:~/Downloads/openssh-3.5p1] jordant% uname -v
        Darwin Kernel Version 6.2: Tue Nov 5 22:00:03 PST 2002; root:xnu/xnu-344.12.2.obj~1/RELEASE_PPC

with:

[Dix:/usr/bin] jordant% ./openssl version
        OpenSSL 0.9.6e 30 Jul 2002

and:

[Dix:/usr/bin] jordant% ssh -V

        OpenSSH_3.4p1, SSH protocols 1.5/2.0, OpenSSL 0x0090605f

I get the following error on configure:

Do you need help?X

[Dix:~/Downloads/openssh-3.5p1] jordant% ./configure

	checking for gcc... gcc
checking for C compiler default output... a.out
	........
checking OpenSSL header version... 90602f (OpenSSL 0.9.6b 9 Jul 2001)
checking OpenSSL library version... 90605f (OpenSSL 0.9.6e 30 Jul 2002)
checking whether OpenSSL's headers match the library... no
configure: error: Your OpenSSL headers do not match your library

Yet when I try to build the new SSL, I get errors:

[Dix:~/Downloads/openssl-0.9.6e] jordant% make test

	Doing certs
	......
	expect: d6 a1 41 a7 ec 3c 38 df bd 61 5a 11 62 e1 c7 ba 36 b6 78 58
00done
	make[1]: *** [test_rc4] Error 45
	make: *** [tests] Error 2

So:

Do I push at my SSL build to make the OpenSSh config errors go away or is that "not the error I am looking for"?

Also, How do I build OpenSSh to recognize kerberos (v5) authentication in both the client and sshd?

Best regards,

        Tom
