failed password eventhough it is correct

Hi,
I have a quick question. For testing purposes, I installed Openssh 3.5p1 on two boxes, one RedHat 6.0, another one RedHat 6.1. Everything works okay for RedHat 6.1, but it seems like I cannot get authenticated to the RedHat 6.0. The error messages was "Failed password for xxx" evenhough the the sshd config files are exactly the same in both and the password is correct(fyi, using only password for authentication). I don't know where else to look for any problems, any ideas?
