Help with ForcedPasswdChange

Hello. Brand new to this mailing list. I have a question about a feature that works with SSH1 but not OpenSSH. When using OpenSSH, I want my users to be prompted to change their password once their old one has expired. With SSH1, you simply add the ForcedPasswdChange parameter into the sshd_config file and setup shadow passwords. However, this parameter isn't compatible in OpenSSH. Is there another way to do it in OpenSSH, or am I out of luck?

Thanks.
