Sounds like you should setup public key ssh access, with a normal shell for the user, but no permissions to do anything. Then just have the systems push over the information with scp. You can specify where the information goes and the filenames so you should have no problem generating reports from that. A quick googling brought up this howto for public key auth setup: http://cfm.gs.washington.edu/security/ssh/client-pkauth/ The scp command would basically be: scp filename username@hostname:/path/to/where/file/is/stored I hope this helps. -James
