That's certainly an interesting solution.

Experiment a little for fun. Maybe you can remove the second tunnel by setting in sshd_config:

    GatewayPorts yes

As a result, the endpoint of the remote port tunnel will be bound to the wildcard address (*:6010 in your example above).

Or maybe it won't work for you. Interesting nonetheless.
