The reason for the dumb subject line
is that I've been searching on the archives and keep getting hints as to things that have happened (history) but can't track down the answer. This should be easily found in the archive.

scp1 (I may be inventing this name, for use in the e-mail) is an 'application level protocol' in essence it's rcp(1) running over ssh (ssh1 or ssh2 I'm not too clear)

scp2 is another 'application level protocol' in essence it's sftp running over ssh2, but the user level syntax is that of rcp.

OpenSsh (3.5p1 for example) has a command 'scp' which seem to be an implementation
of scp1.

The question I'm seeking a definitive answer to is:

does openSSH have an implementation of scp2 ? if so when can I find it?
