If you're using openssh (which it does not seem like you are, but just in case), sftp does not do any logging because there is no code for it. In order to do sftp logging, you must use my patch. Let me know if you want it and I'll post it to you. Also, if you use it, and it works for you, please let the openssh development know that you would like to see future releases incorporate sftp logging, that way we don't have to keep making these patches ourselves to get it done. All, I've followed the steps supplied with rssh to setup the chroot env for sftp only and it works fine. But there's no logging in the syslog.
