Hi Noel,

According to the files you are using
These are intel i386:
openssh-3.5p1-sol8-intel-local.gz
openssl-0.9.6i-sol8-intel-local.gz

These are for Spark:
zlib-1.1.4-sol8-sparc-local.gz
prngd-0.9.25-sol8-sparc-local.gz

It seems that you just need to download the files which relate to an Intel or Spark Box.

Subject: SSH / SSH-KEYGEN / PRNGD SEED

Do you need help?X

Hi,

I had downloaded the following files from www.sunfreeware.com

     openssh-3.5p1-sol8-intel-local.gz
     openssl-0.9.6i-sol8-intel-local.gz
     zlib-1.1.4-sol8-sparc-local.gz
     prngd-0.9.25-sol8-sparc-local.gz

Then I followed the guidelines for installation provided by the attached files.

(See attached file: INSTAL~1.TXT)

I was not successful at the point where I need to generate the key information
for the server.

# ssh-keygen -t rsa1 -f /usr/local/etc/ssh_host_key -N ""
# ssh-keygen -t dsa -f /usr/local/etc/ssh_host_dsa_key -N ""
# ssh-keygen -t rsa -f /usr/local/etc/ssh_host_rsa_key -N ""

1001-root(SV002F08)$ ssh-keygen -t rsa1 -f /usr/local/etc/ssh_host_key
-N

""
PRNG is not seeded
1002-root(SV002F08)$ ssh-keygen -t dsa -f /usr/local/etc/ssh_host_dsa_key
-N "

PRNG is not seeded
1003-root(SV002F08)$ ssh-keygen -t rsa -f /usr/local/etc/ssh_host_rsa_key
-N "

PRNG is not seeded

At this point I downloaded the prngd-0.9.25-sol8-sparc-local.gz and install it.
Still the problem persists.

I am also attaching additional info ablout my server. Please see attached
files.
