SSH1 and large files on 32-bit platforms

Noticed today that SSH Corp. ssh1 code won't scp files over 2 GB on 32- bit platforms. For our purposes, everything else is a 32-bit platform except for the Alpha (since AFS libraries for SGI and Sun, which we do need, are 32-bit only). Is there a simple way I could patch this?
