Nitpick: the GPL doesn't say you must make your source code available to the general public; rather, to the person to whom you distributed the binary version of the work.

However, the GPL prohibits you from attempting to prevent that person from redistributing the work himself. So in essence, the work becomes freely available to everyone most of the time -- but that's not actually explicit in the license itself. Received on Mon Apr 28 13:11:47 2003
