problem w/ forwarding x11 connections.
From: nancy lin <nlin(at)newton.berkeley.edu>
Date: Wed Apr 30 2003 - 15:13:59 EDT Hi I recently upgraded to SSH 3.2.3 and am running into a very weird problem. I ssh from my Windows PC to a unix server (let's call it host1) I type xterm, while running Exceed, the xterminal pops up on my desktop. I then ssh from host1 to host2 and type xterm. I get the following error message: X connection to host2:21.0 broken (explicit kill or server shutdown). Now, if I downgrade just my ssh client binary to ssh 3.1.0, (no need to downgrade the sshd2 server), and then try to run xterm, it will work again. I double checked, the DISPLAY setting is being set correctly (same as using all ssh 3.2.3 binaries) when I ssh to host2, it just doesn't work. Any ideas? I haven't tried it w/ an ssh 3.2.x ssh client yet...So I don't know if it's a problem w/ all 3.2.x or just 3.2.3. thanks nancy Received on Wed Apr 30 15:39:01 2003 This archive was generated by hypermail 2.1.8 : Wed Aug 23 2006 - 14:02:58 EDT |
