Multiple X Tunnels

I'm having some problems tunneling in the following manner:

System A running OpenSSH on RedHat 8.0; all patches applied. System B running SSH-3.2.3

I log in from A to B, and can run X apps so tunneling there works. Now I log in to system C, and try to run an Xapp and get

X11 connection rejected because of wrong authentication. X connection to smaug:13.0 broken (explicit kill or server shutdown).

This happens no matter what type of SSH system C is. If I try to log in to system D, I get kicked back to C, and this appears on the screen:

X11 connection rejected because of wrong authentication. X connection to rigel:11.0 broken (explicit kill or server shutdown).

I've always tunneled quite well through multiple systems, so I was wondering if someone could shed some light on this.

Thanks.

Do you need help?X
