bad packet length

I just upgraded my two linux servers to Openssh.3.6.1p2 and have begun receiving the errors whenever I try to connect:

1117 c51a 35da 56d8 4ec7 1356 4f74 37b8

Disconnecting: Bad packet length 286770458

I have googled for a solution to no avail though I did see that this problem has occurred with openssh in past versions. Does anyone have and suggestions? I can provide more detail from debug if needed.
