Actually,

        Anything can be used to trigger something bad if the attacker is skilled enough. As for the answer Juan's question, yes you can block all attachments aside from .pdf attachments. This is easily done with procmail filters and other mail filters. If you are using a Unix flavored system, then you can find easy to configure procmail to do this. If you are using Microsoft systems, well I haven't used those in a long while, but I am sure that it is just as easy to do. Anyway, I hope this helps, if you want help with procmail I'd be more than happy to give you a hand.
