WLAN AUDITING

I am a graduate student and I have been given a task to audit Wireless LAN security for a small company. I have idea how to go ahead with it but as I am in college with no prior experience of auditing can anybody help me.

I am aware of auditing Access Points and basics of 802.11b. I would like to more about auditing user authentication method( eg.Cisco aironet)
