Try clamav http://www.clamav.org You can combine it with MailScanner http://www.sng.ecs.soton.ac.uk/mailscanner/ and Spam Assassin http://www.spamassassin.com for email scanning. AFAIK SpamAssassin is included with the RedHat distro (I prefer Slackware myself http://www.slackware.com ) You can add a cron job to update Clam's signature list daily. MailScanner supports most of the standard MTA's (Sendmail, Exim etc).
