Top online banking company is seeking 2 Security Support Engineers!

The Security Support Engineer is a key member of the Systems Security team that is responsible for the protection of the corporation's information assets from theft or damage. To provide these services this position will deploy, manage and support perimeter security systems that "touch" the customer. Such systems include firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and data security systems running on mainframe and distributed platforms. This position requires acting as first responder to system security incidents and provides first and second level support for system security technologies.  
Represent and champion the security function on projects and ensure adherence to security policies, standards and baseline controls.    

SKILLS AND EDUCATION REQUIRED:

• 2+ years hands-on network security experience managing and deploying firewalls and intrusion detection systems.  Experience with Checkpoint Firewall-1, and ISS Real Secure is a must.  Checkpoint CCSA/CCSE is desired. Candidate must be familiar with software/hardware encryption.
• The candidate must have 3+ years experience working with Internet technologies, network protocols, routers and switches.  The candidate must be able to troubleshoot complex networks and be familiar with E-commerce environments. Prior E-commerce experience is a plus.
• The candidate must be familiar and should be comfortable working with various server environments such as Unix (primarily Solaris and Linux), Windows and OS/390.
• Experience with security packages in Large Systems (RACF) and distributed systems (eTrust) is a plus. The candidate must have working knowledge of data security principles as they apply to network and host based security. Job Control Language (JCL), TSO/ISPF, and ICSF experience is a plus.
• The candidate must have a customer-oriented focus, the highest level of integrity, good planning and organizational skills, as well as oral, written and inter-personal communication skills.
• CISSP certification is desired.
