IA Security Analyst
Candidate will be supporting mission critical systems for all technologies (Mainframe, UNIX, LAN and WAN) and develop the security strategy, requirements and deliverables for the project. Candidate will develop and perform the training of other staffmembers to ensure secure implementation and execution of recovery capability. Candidate must work with technology teams to ensure the development of testing requirements that assure compliance with multiple agency directives. Candidate will prepare all required security documentation in accordance with CMM, SDLC and Security standards and work with branch security officers in the development of needed processes and documentation to enable the certification and accreditation of the CRF.
Candidate must have the understanding of security for Mainframe,
UNIX, LAN, and WAN for the recovery of MCS. Strong knowledge of government
agency security practices. Strong communication skills (written and oral)
at both technical and management levels. Strong knowledge of CMM and SDLC.
Knowledge of Certification and Accreditation activities. 3 years of
experience in security analysis. CISSP desired but not required.
Experience in performing Risk ASsessments. Understanding Disaster Recovery
or Contingency Planning concepts. Understanding Business Impact analysis
concept.
Location: Newington, VA This position supports an enterprise-level IA program for a large Federal customer requiring extensive experience in system security design, security practices and IA tools. Environment supported is MVS with world wide distributed access through LAN/WAN. Candidate will have strength in software development with a knowledge and experience in the security background. Strong communication and coordinator skills with an ability to interact and negotiate with clients and developers in reference to requirements. Candidate must possess the ability to communicate security concepts to diverse audiences and translate them into the particular context of applications. Candidate must be adaptable to change and diverse situations and demonstrate an interest in expanding their skills with little guidelines. The desire to obtain a CISSP required. Candidate must already have a DoD Secret Clearance. TS preferred. Familiarity with government IA practices required. BS Degree in CS, EE or related field (MS preferred). Minimum 5 years experience of relevant experience. Familiarity with WAN/LAN Experience. Oracle DB experience desired. Security Certifications (CISSP, etc.). DITSCAP or NIACAP experience.
