Job description:

Applied Watch Technologies is seeking a seasoned Java Developer on a full-time employment basis. Salary is market.

SUMMARY: The developer will be responsible for the requirements, design/analysis, development, and testing of the Applied Watch Console and Graphical User Interface. Will Perform quality assurance and acceptance testing and assist the team and users with support. The developer will also be responsible for creating and implementing new features as well as working with the development team to ensure functionality with the Applied Watch Agent and Server.

QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrated ability to analyze information and situations to identify relevant issues, propose solutions, recognize alternatives, and to present this in a logical and objective manner Good oral communication skill of technical requirements and considerations
Demonstrated ability to write clear, concise and comprehensive system documentation and office correspondence Strong drive and determination to learn new things

TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE Development and deployment using J2EE and Swing technology Hands on development experience with enterprise wide systems Hands on experience in all aspects of the development life cycle - requirements, design/analysis, development, development testing, QA. Hands on experience capturing requirements, design (functional/technical) and test plans.
Have completed actual development work from a written design specification
Have completed functional and technical designs based on an IEEE based software requirements specification
Performed QA integration and system testing based on QA test plans Understanding of project management principles through the development life cycle.
Experience with data interfacing and data exchange in an enterprise system. This involves developing utilities to transform and manipulate the data and utilities to apply the data to the database. Hands on experience with OOA/OOD methodology. Possesses the ability to create both new OO designs as well as updates to existing designs. Extensive experience with SQL code, creation of stored procedures, and triggers.
Hands on experience working in a UNIX and Windows development and production environment
Hands on experience with source control systems and methods, specifically CVS on the Unix platform.
Hands on GUI development working either from an existing specification or from a design created by themselves. Experience with information security applications, Intrusion Detection Systems, Firewalls preferrable
