Job description:

Applied Watch Technologies is seeking an SQL Server Administrator (DBA) to become part of the Applied Watch Team. The qualified person will participate on a production team, focused on SQL management, development, and administration to accommodate business unit projects and production activities. Primary duties include the initial configuration of PostgreSQL databases, a migration of existing databases from one system to another, configuration of database replication and backup routines, as well as other standard database administration tasks. Another important responsibility will be to participate in an on-call rotation of production support, requiring familiarity with Windowss and Unix recovery.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills/knowledge:

Knowledge of current versions of PostgreSQL Server with the ability to configure database size attributes, database replication, database backup, database import/export, and query functions. He or she will have experience with monitoring and recovering SQL databases. Finally, she or he will have knowledge of Windows and Unix server operating systems from a functional and recovery perspective.
