Sr. IT Auditor

This position is responsible for evaluating IT infrastructure controls
and specific security related risk areas. Additional responsibilities
including providing consulting services regarding risk and control on a
wide range of projects and corporate initiatives, and supervising
internal audit projects and the communication of observations,
recommendations and conclusions reached.
Core Job Responsibilities:
Develop a successful annual audit plan for a specific IT segment within
the company by: o Assessing risk factors and implementing a strategy to
address these risks. o Establishing and maintaining strong customer
relationships with internal and external customers, managers and staff.
Learning and understanding the business of the company's IT groups in
order to provide valueadded services. o Identifying timelines and
managing resource allocations to meet requirements and insure timeliness.
Supervising all phases of audit projects including audit team,
planning, fieldwork, reporting and other project communication.
Coordinate and drive audit projects against the identified annual audit
plan, in accordance with generally accepted IT audit principles and
utilizing innovative and continuous improvement techniques.
Plan and perform value-added reviews of worldwide information security,
business and operational systems, and IT operations.
Manage administrative functions such as development and maintenance of
the Audit website; customer service surveys; audit performance
evaluations.
Assist in the development and mentoring of IT Auditors by sharing
information and consulting on audit projects as a technical specialist.
This position is responsible for planning, conducting, concluding and
reporting on audits of Microsoft's core Information Technology
infrastructure, general computer controls and other system related risk
areas. Responsibilities include the performance of infrastructure reviews
of systems, processes and technologies, and audit results should reflect
value-added recommendations, process improvements, and strengthened
internal controls.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Excellent understanding of concepts related to information systems
audit, information security, general IT controls, application controls
and technology risks.
Strong technology skills including experience with operating systems,
security software, network security, telecommunications, database
management systems, business and operational applications, system
development and project management practices.
Practical knowledge of current/emerging technology including the
Internet, intranet, distributed computing, cryptography, firewalls and
electronic commerce, strong knowledge of key MS technologies (IIS, SQL
Server, Windows 2003, etc.).
Previous work and related experience:
A minimum of 5-8 years of demonstrated work experience in related
field. Preferably audit experience in Big 4 enviroment.
A BS/BA degree in related field.
Advanced level PC skills including specific technical skills detailed
above.
Ability to communicate highly technical issues to non-technical
audiences.
Demonstrated leaderships and supervisory skills.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally for 2-3 week periods
up to approximately 25% of the year.
Preferences:
Professional certification such as CISSP, MCSE, CCNA, CCDA, CISA.
Experience in developing and working with computer aided audit
techniques or programming experience.
